Shri Rajkumar Khatri joined the Indian administrative service (IAS) in the year 1988. he is currently serving as the additional chief secretary of the department of agriculture. Dr. Khatri holds a medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, and an MBA from the University of Birmingham, UK. he has extensive experience working with the centre,, the state, and elected local bodies
he has been closely associated with the implementation of initiatives supported by international organisations, such as USAID (use of ICT in education) & UNICEF. while serving as the commissioner for IDDIC, he played an instrumental role organising the global investors meet-2010 in which around 7,000 international and domestic industrialists participated. having also served in the education department for a significantly long period of time, several reforms to improve the quality of education and the governance of higher education institutions have been initiated by him during his tenure.
he has previously served in the Government of India as the director at the ministry of mines and has also served as state project director, sarva shikshana abhiyana mission.
he has worked as the secretary to government, infrastructure development department and managing director, Karnataka state industrial & infrastructure development corporation limited [KSIIDC].
The project covers enabling and implementing precision farming in agriculture using artificial intelligence & geospatial technology.
